Studio M Interiors is a firm of six individuals who all have wildly different personalities – but share a love of interior design. We love to think of ourselves as a tightknit family. We’re fun,-funny, and even a little atypical, just the way we should be.

Emily Bouma
Business Manager
When we asked Emily, our Accounting Specialist, what her design style is, she said black and white – as in, numbers on a crispy sheet of printer paper. Luckily, Emily has a whole studio of designers to rely on when it comes to style advice. But Emily’s our go-to girl for all the number crunching; she manages our books, billing, and getting our contractors paid. With over 13 years of experience, Emily’s a self-proclaimed Spreadsheet Queen. (Somebody get this girl a crown!) When she’s not hunched over a calculator, she’s living that #MomLife, sittin’ by a bonfire, or putting together a puzzle.
Laurie Huisman
Interior Designer
There’s nothing Laurie loves more than providing the absolute best for her clients. She’s the type to never settle, pushing for the most elevated style that fits her client’s lifestyle, aesthetic, and budget. (How great is that?) Laurie’s been an interior designer for seven years and describes her process as “organized chaos.” She’s a stickler for making sure client files and schedules are totally perfect, but prior to a design meeting, you can find her desk scattered with paperwork and design options. Although she may come across quiet at first, Laurie has a wicked sense of humor, which has earned her the title, “Stealthy,” in the office. Outside of work, you find her doing even more design work, like upholstery, sketching, and home projects.
Kelli Dornan
Executive Coordinator
Kelli started as our intern in 2019, straight outta Cornerstone University. With a Masters of Business Administration, she’s the perfect fit for managing our purchasing and public relations. Her job entails prepping the team for installs, ordering art, furniture, and the like, coming alongside designers to complete residences, and running Studio M’s PR and marketing. Outside of the studio, you can catch Kelli and her husband kayaking, skiing, or walking their two ultra-cute Golden Retrievers.
