Volume XXVI

REFLECTING ON A BUSY YEAR

Whoa, where’d 2021 go? Now that we’re nearing the end of December, we’re taking a moment to look back on what we’ve accomplished in 2021. (And we hope you’re doing the same!) Despite this year’s continued craziness, we’re proud of the work we’ve been able to complete for our clients, including a four-year long reno-turned-new-build that resulted in a Christmas tree bonanza!

7 INSTALLATIONS

During 2021, we welcomed home seven families with installations. Each interior was beautiful, unique, and totally custom – the only way we know how to do it! If you want to see more of what happens behind the scenes on our installs in 2022, follow us on Instagram!

6 CHRISTMAS TREES

Our client’s four-year renovation project came to completion in February 2021. We celebrated in November by decking their halls with four Christmas trees inside and two outside!

5 PUBLICATIONS

It’s good to be recognized! We were published in five magazines in 2021, includingHouse Beautiful, Cosmopolitan Home, MIRA,Reside Magazine, and Northern Home and Cottage.d

4 TRADE SHOWS

We’re always seeking inspiration, and one of our favorite ways to do that is by attending trade shows. Our designers travelled to four shows across the US.

3-D VISUALIZATION

A goal of ours in 2021 was to start using more 3-D rendering design tools. It helps both the designer and the client visualize what the layout is going to look like.

2 NEW TEAM MEMBERS

Our team grew by two this year. We added an Accounting Specialist, Emily Bouma (pictured left), in June. A month later in July, we added another interior designer, Sara Maatman (pictured right). We love these two ladies and are so happy to have them as part of the Studio M team!

1 SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT

Missy participated in her very first speaking engagement this year at the CEDIA expo. She was on a panel entitled, The Performance Home, Where Technology Meets Design to discuss the intersection of interior design and tech.
